Poetry Pills: #1

the storms that

could drown the Titanic

and tornadoes that dwell

in the heart of the Pacific

all existed and persevered

in her savage mind

along with thoughts so fierce

you’d never expect to find

but when she spoke she was

as calm as she could be

her words just like

the still waters of the Dead Sea

but her inner riptide

still wanted to scream

it was just waiting and wailing

to finally break free

then the riptide would

reveal to the shore

all that she wanted

to say and more

but her words like waves

would’ve been too heavy for them

and she would’ve unknowingly

drowned her victims dead
